NORWICH, NY (June 7, 2017) ) – NBT Bank President and CEO John H. Watt, Jr., announced that Deposit Product Manager Sharon Horning has been promoted to senior vice president.
Horning is responsible for the development, management and strategic growth of deposit products and services providing market and customer analysis to support the strategic initiatives of the company. Horning has more than 26 years of banking experience. She joined NBT Bank’s marketing team in 2001 as market analysis and product manager following the bank’s acquisition of Central National Bank. At Central National Bank, Horning was senior marketing analyst.
Watt said, “Sharon is an experienced professional whose strategic thinking, leadership and communication abilities have supported NBT’s successful introduction of new and innovative banking products and services that have allowed us to continue to meet the customer service needs of our customers.”
A resident of Palatine Bridge, Horning earned her associate’s degree in visual communication from Fulton-Montgomery Community College and her bachelor’s degree in strategic finance marketing at SUNY Empire State College. She is a Certified Financial Marketing Professional and a graduate of the American Bankers Association’s School of Bank Marketing and Management.
